Nice scratch down my 16v
« on: 06 September 2005, 12:52 »
Does anyone know how to locate and destroy feckers that do that? My misses is upset as she is using it until I sell it (may keep it now).

Little barstewards!

I wish. Scary enough our neighbour has a 320 convertible on his drive looked after by cctv. Someone stole his fuel by punchering his tank and draining it. I always thought my area was a safe one.

I shall take and post a pic tonight. Looked at it again in the light and I may be able to tcut it out. I could feel it on my fingernail though so may be too deep.

Yup, know exactly how you feel. Mine got done the other day either in work or Tesco car park by what looks like a buggy or shopping trolley type thing. The car is lowered, and the scratch is on the bottom of the rear wing, starting from the edge of the wheel arch and is about 5 inches long and down to the paint work. Other half noticed it when I got home as its on the passenger side. Not happy one bit. But hey, some people dont give a s*** to they!!
I've had something similar done to every car i've owned, including every car in the street including my (now) hubbies getting keyd, people whacking your car with their door. Hubby had a minter Redtop Cavi SRi a few months back and within a couple of months there were two deep creases down one side. One again from a supermarked carpark, and the other we think was the kids in the street on their bikes. Devalued straight away.
I even had someone smash into the front wing of my Mk4 Xr3i a few years back in my work car park and then drive off. Totally crunched, and of course the CCTV camera picked up none of it. B***ards.

Your not alone buddy. All this is one of the reasons my other half is now selling his Mk1 Xr2, as its been fully retored he's paranoid about something happening to it and needs and everyday car so its gotta go.

We arent the first, and we certainly wont be the last. But if I ever catch anyone doing it......
