Realistic brake upgrade for mk6 gtd

Hi all,got a set of ttrs 370mm discs and calipers but after a little looking around think these are gonna cause issues, can't test fit at the minuite as the cars in getting its air suspension done

Those calipers are virtually identical to the ones i have so maybe just get some diff brackets :-)

I'd personally go down the OE R32/R/S3 kit...
Straight bolt on, cheap with cheap consumables and will fit under OE 17s without spacers, great upgrade imo

Thats not important as i'll be running 19's would be handy for winters tho gutted tho my ttrs calipers the bollocks the s3 one's look a bit weak and they are only single pot aren't they?

Im in the same boat, not sure wheather to upgrade to R32 - Yes they have better stopping power, but they weight quite a bit more than OEM.

In two minds to stick OEM calipers and just get decent pads and braided lines.

The S3 setup is a very noticeable upgrade from the stock gti/gtd system...
Yes they may still be single piston sliding calipers but it's a big piston (51mm) acting on a much larger disc (345mm versus 312mm),
With a 4 pot system you are buying lightness, endurance and 'feel' over a basic OE single piston system, even with £2k worth of AP 4 pots you are still moving the same amount of fluid via the master cylinder, you just get more of a progressive 'feel' due to the staggered way in which the smaller and larger pistons operate 
The S3 setup is very capable especially when running uprated pads and the weight can be offset by using 340mm TTs discs..

Plenty of people running TTRS set up on mk5/6 so what is the concern other than wheel clearance, that said TTRS used to have 18s as standard, only issue is your rears may be a bit weedy

S3 set up is a popular mod

My AP 4 pots were awesome but not cheap on the consumables but did wipe off speed

I'm just a tad confused when you intially said 345 then 340 at the end will this not put the caliper out 5mm? Pity they don't look as awesome as the 4 pots :-(
