no boost ?

was overtaking a car today and got a whooshing of air noise ,sounded like a big air leak for a second and lost all boost .still hear same noise and av no boost , now lights on and car drives ok except no boost - has a hose blown of or has turbo gone? ,its been working fine up till this happened.cant get out to look at until rain stops - any ideas to what it is ? thanks in advance gentleman

Pop the bonnet and see if a pipe has come off

Sounds like 1 of your intercooler pipes blew off

Your sig says your are boosting at 24psi.

I would be weighing up the likelihood that you have blown a pipe off the inlet side if I was you. VW made that car with probably 6 or 7 psi of boost.

gonna look under bonet when rain stops -hope its just a hose - dont think it is the turbo -well im hopping not-its faring up so gonna av a look soon

just popped engine cover an d yeah a hose has blown off from the diverter valve -no sign of the jubilee clip though lol

Use some jcs high grip. Got mine from ebay.

will check em out m8 - gonna do a hose check tomorrow make sure rest are tight -that blown one must of been working its way loose 4 a whie.
