50 Litre Tank in the boot,  Thats going to add a lot of weight transferrance to the back end.  Do you still have a standard tank as well.   Consider this when you re-distribute the weight. It might not be best to put it exactly centre.

Point duly taken about not being able to move it yet.

From reading the whole thread again,   theres a few ideas being banded about as to what it could be.

My personal stance, would be process of elimination.  Change one thing at a time until you narrow it down starting with moving the tank,  then trying a stock set of wheels,  etc etc.

If your still unable to move the tank for whatever reason, pop something heavy in the otherside of the boot to compensate for the weight as a tempory measure.

My moneys on the tank and the tyres.   

50 Litres of LPG swishing about will have enough momentum to knock a man off his feet.

Yes i still have the origional tank also which i leave empty or about a fivers worth of fuel in. My bet is on the wider tryres on the rear! Ive still got my old G60 Steelies so might give them a test and compare the difference.

Well it was very wet on the way to work this mornin. I had a full tank of fuel and an empty tank of lpg and i could not get the back to swing out. Maybe its the lpg tank thats doing it? Will have more of a play on the way home, you watch ill write it off trying to get the back end out!  :embarassed:

What, any luck trying to write it off? Gladly no.

But on the drifting side of things, i tried my best and could not get the back end to come out. Tried on the way home and on the way to work this morning in the wet.

So it looks like its solved. Its either the adjustment i made to the rear byas valve or the fact that the lpg tank is empty. I will fill the lpg up full then report back with the results.

i have started doing some work in my mk2 and have a load of tools in the boot, like full to the brim along with my 12 sub and amp. and flip does it step out in the wet, and pretty suddenly, did it in the dry this evening, so i would say its definitly your lpg tank rather than your bias. I would have about 50-60 kilos in the boot your full tank can't be far off that?

Deffo looking like the LPG tank I suppose a good test would be to fill it half way then try it 50litres of lpg swishing about with no baffles will add a lot of weight to outside rear corner under cornering especially left right flicks off roundabouts etc.

Yeah im thinking its the tank too. Im thinking of changing it for a dohnut tank to fit in the spare wheel well. This will lover the height of the extra weight while centralising it better. Time to go shopping on ebay me thinks.
