Huge aircon leak
« on: 17 May 2014, 10:11 »
Right, sometime over the winter I parked the car up and had a massive hissing noise from the engine bay, it lasted for a good 20 mins and as it was pitch black I couldn't work out where it was from.

I went to stick my aircon on yesterday and it was just blowing out warm air. I assume they're related, so the question is - what is likely to have happened?

broken pressure switch up near the bulkhead?

It's behind a heat blanket, I'll find my pic from a while back

Cheers, I've got a mate who can leak test it for me next weekend to try and work out where it is.

If it has lost all gas and be empty for a while then make sure they fully vac the system as any moisture will cause major problems in the long run.
