Just bought some of these for my Mark 6... Did you have to code the DRL's with VCDS or VAGCOM?
I did indeed. Codes used:
Byte 14 bit 3 (shutters)
Byte 15 bit 6 and 7
Byte 19 (forgot which bit - the one to uncheck the inactive bulb life extender - important for HID's to ensure them to work correctly. It sends a smaller voltage up front before the full voltage to ensure the life of the bulbs and also to prevent errors)
Byte 24 bit 7
Byte 27 bit 2
All in all, this makes sure the LED's are coded as DRL's, gets rid of bulb errors from both HID's and LED's, and safety measures to prolong the life of the bulbs

If you code it like this, the LED's are coded as DRL's and they won't come on with the Low-beams. If you want the LED's to also come on with the low beams, you have to use a wire to jump pin 4 and 10 on the connector. Without the jump wire, it's either DRL's or sidelights
