« on: 14 May 2014, 23:30 »
Hi all,

Where can i find some headlights like these?

(Thanks Anton for the use of the pic!)

Can't seem to find these listed for sale anywhere except the US. Are these an import?

Any info greatly appreciated :)

Is that my anni in your sig? looks lovely.
search joey mod in this section.
you can do it yourself if your handy. Take the lights out, take bulbs out and place in oven to soften the glue holding the lense to the body of the light. And then you spray the insides 1ce the lense is off. Search it. It has alot more info on how to do it.

Mine are not as dark as those but it is a daily and any more black would of reduced the light output

The "problem" vs the ones you first posted is that the house is still white on the one you mod. (and the "original" is black.

I know black ones wwere made by HELLA to Golf MK3, They are rare, but exist. US ones i wouldn't buy, cos they have other bulb connectors then Europe.

Thanks for this chaps,

Made myself useful while the car's being MOTed...Can't wait to put em on the car. Just coated 'em in mystic blue...I wonder how it'll look.

Love the black. If my motor was any other colour than mystic blue i'd have gone for black a la boneybradley.

@ Sharki...cheers mate :D Mine's a phony though. Bog standard valver!

@ snozan...interesting. I don't understand why those black Hellas are not more popular/available. looks a thousand times better than those nasty quads imo

Here: http://www.ebay.de/itm/VW-Golf-3-GTI-Jubi-Original-schwarze-Hella-Doppelkammer-Scheinwerfer-Dokas-/271481894565

You have to keep in mind all different models that were made of the Mk3: http://www.doppel-wobber.de/forum/vw-golf-3_modelle.html

The black Hella was prolly an exclusive thing, which means they didnt go in big scale production :) A bit like the 16v 20 jahre, not many were made.
