Tyre pressure light warning
« on: 05 May 2014, 11:55 »
So half way into a journey yesterday my warning light came on regarding tyre pressure but no indication which tyre, is this visible anywhere in the menu?

I can't see any difference just by looking and not difficult to check at a garage I know but would be useful to save time.

hi mate.  no it does not warn which tyre it is.  Unless it's obvious to the eye, or you can feel the pressure loss by touching on the tyres (winning you the prize for the world's most sensitive fingers ) you just have to drop by a gas station / garage and check tyre pressure on all of them.  If not mistaken, the warning light comes on if pressure drops by something like 5 psi (approx. .8 bar).  However sometimes the warning comes on without any obvious reason, happened to me once, checked all tyres, there didn't seem to be any pressure loss

That's not entirely true, they system does show you which tyre has loss of pressure.
Just go into the CAR menu on CMS and it will show you there
Mine has been triggered twice since ownership but both were false alarms, it seems the system is lot more sensitive to pressure loss than 5psi.

Thanks chaps, found the display and front and rear lefts were flashing!

Both are fine so guess I have a false alarm too and have since reset the warning.

I have had an alert and seen one tyre 1 psi lower than the rest (I have a Ring compressor that compresses to a compressor set limit, and 3 were already at the preset limit).
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....
