First Detail of the gtd
« on: 04 May 2014, 15:51 »
so,

First detail of gtd, stone chips and bad points aside I got detailing

First.
1) Wash (I use cheapo aldi wash with wax in there)
2) Dry (I use Kent Q6100 Extra Large Microfibre Drying Towel I find you need 2 to dry a car)
3) Clay (bilt hamber medium clay, Causes marring I find)
4) Machine time! DAS6pro with Meguiar's DA Microfibre system.
5) I didn't use finishing polish as I didn't have time but I used a good going over of Autoglym SRP and speed setting 4 with the finishing pad

Results

Looks nice in the sun, next up will be the billions of stone chips

Very nice.

SRP is very underrated. It can produce some really good results when used correctly. It really needs a good wax or sealant on top to give it longevity tho'.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.
