golf gti anniversary drive shaft into gearbox

Had the clutch changed on my car about a month ago and a few days after the drive shaft into the gear box worked its way loose  and began to rattle making a tapping noise. So i stopped the car and rung the garage where i had the clutch replaced and they came out to me jacked it up and tightened it back up and said sometimes this can happen after a clutch change. They recommened i took the car to the garage to check the other side which i did.

All has been fine until last night when i think its come loose again i wasnt far from home so i drove it slowly home and left it. Havent had a look under or anything. What could cause this ? I had coilovers fit at the same time but im not even running them low

Driveshaft to gearbox flange bolts should not come loose after a clutch change if tightened up correct etc  although its recommended to replace with new bolts you can use thread lock on the old bolts as long as there in good condition they only come loose if not tightened correctly in my experience i would have a word with the garage that fitted your clutch also

Just had a look under now myself and its missing a bolt so ive tightened the remaing bolts back up for now, will get a new bolt tuesday. Must have worked its way loose without the bolt

garage should have fitted all bolts but it could have worked loose after i guess new bolt will be okay but personally i would remove the other bolts and use some thread lock and torque back up to spec and you will be fine

Did the they get the torque wrench out out just do them as tight as they could?

Best bet is as Matt says get new bolts, saves all this hassle again

Sorry thought i had replied, cheers for the help and advise boys. Had a trip back to the garage that fit the clutch kit after tightening the bolts up and they replaced the bolts and secured it all up free of charge
