Custom Mapping !!!

When will proper custom mapping be available for the mk6 GTI !!

I have phoned R-tech, and emailed a few of the well known custom mappers and none have even started mapping them yet.

Im not overly keen for off the shelf goodies to be honest considering how much a Revo map costs when R-tech do custom for less. Just a shame its only on the MK5 platform they are doing at the moment....

If anybody can offer light on custom mapping for the mk6, please let me know !

Development time and costs will be a significant factor. The market for MED9 ECU (Eg MK5) is bigger than MED17 ECU (Eg MK6).

I don't think you'll be disappointed with Revo, Shark offer software too.

i think R-tech are just venturing into the CDL engined cars, I'll doubt i'll ever be able to get a car mapped by them as in fairness my car is never old enough but good results on older gen stuff seem good

With the big boys you are looking at R&D and them focusing on the what's coming onto the market now rather than what has been around since 2007, dealer network etc

each to their own but why i have liked APR/Revo is they have a large dealer network especially in Europe and don't shut for a couple of weeks to go on their summer hols

If you're near the midlands we offer the 20% discount on Revo to forum members all year round, rolling road included. I think it works out at £495 all in.

REVO have spent over 100 on their map for the MK6, its not just an off the shelf product. If ytu car is in good health than REVO will make it a beast. best £500 you will ever spend mate

Im probably going to go with revo to be honest but im not paying £500 for it and will wait until i see some decent discount

I was tempted by bluefin but with people stating they didnt feel much difference it kinda put me off...

Revo do 2 sales a year, so not long time their summer sale. Even at £500 its still worth it...get ready for a shed ton or extra torque. You will probably need an uprated dogbone mount to get the power down.

So luckily I didn't have to break it in. Mine now only had milder vibrations over stock, put really stock the car wheel hoping and allowing you to put loads more power down faster
