Golf R - Dynaudio
« on: 30 April 2014, 09:59 »
Does anyone know when Dynaudio will become available on the Golf R?  I notice you can't even spec the 'Plug & Play' stereo upgrade either.  Very strange!

It's rubbish Volkswagen can't get DynAudio to build a revised system for the 4WD platform.
I am hoping the Golf R and Golf R400 get DynAudio in the future.

You upgrading Mark?

I know over on the R forum that at least one guy has installed the plug & play system into his car so it is possible

I am tempted Craig!  But not unless I can upgrade the stereo, I'd rather wait.  It's that Lapiz Blue and quad exhausts you see

I just find it weird that on the top of the range Golf you can't upgrade the billy basic stereo

It's also strange that on the DTD website there is actually an option to add the Dynaudio soundpack

Strange they don't do it in the Golf R i have it in my GTI and Touareg R line and I must say its far superior in the Touareg probably because the Touareg has four more speakers and has 200 extra watts of output compared to the Golf.
Golfgti build quality is average at best.

I'm keeping an eye on this as I'm getting an R next year and Dynaudio is a must.

The latest I heard it had been pushed back to BW45 (orginally was rumoured to be bw22), this was gleaned from the R Forum.  I did ask evo1986 to confirm in a different thread but never heard back.

Doesn't Dynaudio have a woofer in the boot and the boot is smaller on the R due to its 4 wheel drive?

Yes that is correct, but its a removable item.... surely Volkswagen and DynAudio can make a slimmer verson?
DynAudio is a good option for me and I would definately want it on the Golf R400.
