Do you have Bluetooth? if you do did you have to do anything to the wires for the mic for the RNS510 to do voice commands and the Bluetooth voice commands?

No problem dubber36, glad you got it working, I think that also brings up the compass bearing on the top left of the MFD if it wasn't there already.

Mike, Yes, the compass is enabled as well.

Ajmoir, I do have retro fitted Bluetooth and that still works just as it did with the RCD510. I think the mic needs to be wired differently if you have voice control.

Yeah spent a while figuring that out. I needed to change the wiring for the Bluetooth, the mic was connected directly to the Bluetooth but fortunately the clever people that sold me the Bluetooth kit had made it idiot proof and all I had to do was connect the mic to the radio and connect the Bluetooth to the radio and code the telephone for voice inactive this then drives the steering wheel button through the RNS510 for voice commands. My existing DAB aerial also seemed to work with the DAB in the RNS510 too. Now I just need to figure out how this Nav thing works.

UK cars don't get the compass module in the roof lining it's just north america. When you retro fit the rns you need to code it in 37 which you chaps have worked out. Sometimes you also need to tick or untick the bap protocol to get the nav function to appear in the MFD (dis). If you've already got a dab rcd then it's a doddle retro fitting a new RNS dab. It's always best to do a reset after any coding changes when fitting the RNS.

I have the bap operation turned on and get the compass and nav directions on dis/mfd.
