Hope you're getting on well with the new ride. Few things to consider before a remap though mate:
1. Check the PCV functions correctly. Simply remove the oil filler cap when the engine is at idle and warm (only for a second at most) as see if the engine tries to stall. If it does, it's all good.
2. Diverter valve could possibly do with replacing with the later revison unit or the GFB DV+ upgrade, have a search online and read up. THe diverter valve is a known weak spot on these engines, the rubber membrane on it fails a fair bit and can cause a loss of boost.
3. High pressure fuel pump cam follower - Replace this as it'll probably be quite worn out. This is not something you want to fail, even on a stock GTI as it can take out the pump and cams together, very expensive. Simple enough job, actually easier than changing the oil in my opinion.
Any good garage will probably happily check.replace the parts about while remapping to ensure a perfect setup for you when you drive away. Go and enjoy your new ride!
