Fitted spax psx adjustables -60mm to 1 of our mk2 gti's cars yesterday. People alwys told me to avoid spax but im very impressed with them. Also get later 16v hubs, g60 or early mk3 gti carriers and upgrade to 280mm brakes. Drilled/grooved discs allroundand uprated pads ebc, mintex or pagid. Your £750 is now spent. If you go cheap way round it and have £220 left get some eibach arb's.

Shiney bits, yes I must admit they are tempting !
As for the suspension kit i see awesome gti are going a bilstein kit for £169, that looks great value vs Koni at £299, can anyone comment on the difference between the two

As for brakes, am i going to notice a big difference going from 239 to 256 with better pads ?
I've been told that upgrading the 22mm master cylinder to 23mm is a great benefit.

More comments needed....please !

I'd overlooked the polybushes, how difficult are they to change, i did some a few years ago on a MK2 RS2000 and some of them were tricky to say the least.  Garage or DIY ?

If your tracking it would do the bilstien streetline thats for sure. There only oe shockers with -40mm springs. Personally i'd go for something adjustable damping spax i recommened as i fitted the psx kit to mine on sat its good. If bushes are knackered fit poly bug pack full kit about £50 ish. Uprated arb's are good but i set my spax to race and its like rock hard no roll.
