APR GTI map getting close.
« on: 24 April 2014, 11:18 »
HI there

Its looking like the APR map for the EA888 gen 3 is close to release. (Ive been told in the next 2 months) Apparently APR have "cracked" the OBD protection so tuning is done without the need to remove the ECU or the need to open the ECU.....

Looks promising....

Excellent!! They got the Skoda Fabia VRS from 216bhp to 300bhp with a stage 1! I think we can expect around 320bhp from a stage 1 on the GTI :)

Didn't they say the VW encryption was impossible to crack? Go APR! :D

APR have confirmed that their Stage 1 "real" remap is pushing over 300bhp with no hardware changes :)

and one of Apr's comments say that the s3 is getting 360, still sizable gap between the two but compared to the last gen this is really good news, no longer is it 90 bhp gap between the models (270 against 360 for instance)
