hi is a golf gti 1.8t agu saposed to have Negative Boost (Vacuum) on idel as mine is running at -08 but it is reading -02 with the engine offand it only reads -00 -01 when booting the car

Yes, but it should be 0 with the engine off.

mine sits at -8 on idle but you shouldn't be in negative when its boosting, on mine when I even slightly blip the accelerator it goes to 0 and then pulls to 1.5 bar. so if your reading negative something is wrong

when I drive the car it sound likethe exhaust is blowing but I have had that checked and it is not blowing I will check the boost pipes when it Is dry and there is no play on the turbo I checked it when I put a forge tip on thank you for your help

My guess would be a kink or split in the hose going to the boost gauge especially if it was driving fine before hand. Might even be a leak at the point where you've tapped the vac line.

not leaking from them not realy checked all pipe work the car pulls well though could it be the n75 beginning to go just replaced the n75 and no difrence plus it is a cheep ebay boost gauge

for some reason it is reading -01 now when the engine is off and boosting to 02 and on idle it is -08 still and when I rev the car from the throtel boddy there is a high pitch whistle noise here is a vid

fitted my prosport gauge now it reads on boost 0.4bar and sits at 0 with the engine off
