Yes its under warranty. Some sound advice there, which I will have in mind!

Latest update: Still no car, the garage said they are working on it today. I am expecting a call from the sales manager to discuss a 'gesture of good will' for my troubles.

Picked up the car today, 10 days on.

Service advisor said that it would have cost me £900 if I didn't have the warranty.. Had a master tec on it. Also had an oil and filter due to oil contamination.

Hopefully the other guy with the same problem can get his sorted for free too!

Had an email off the sales manager at one of the VW branches and he is giving me a call at 3pm today, so fingers crossed I am able to nab something worth while!

Alright mate,

I had the same problem if you remember reading about it. I picked mine up yesterday after 4 days which wasn't too bad and I also got it all sorted for free.

I didn't get an oil and filter change so I best go and get one done to make sure. Was it just the oil filter you had changed or the fuel filter too?

Good to hear! It was all the filters. I questioned why and they said that the oil could have become contaminated.
