jetex system on abf
« on: 18 April 2014, 16:01 »
afternoon people,
i got a jetex catback awhile ago now on the abf. i went for the resonated because i was scared it would be loud and didnt want to sound like one of the many bell ends driving about near me.

ive always wondered if i made the best decision.
i know alot of others on here have jetex, what did you go for?
should i invest in the non resonated section?

I went for the Resonated one too for exactly the same reasons...but it seems like I'm one of those bell ends now though as it is ridiculously loud. Had it on for 2 years and its become progressively worse. Cannot talk to a passenger at motorway speeds with a slight incline and just on Wednesday night I was calling someone for directions and they could hear me approaching...I wasn't even near!!

If you want yours louder you can have mine!!

I just got a non resonated one and its great.  Not too loud at all. I was advised to go for a non resonated one as its meant to flow slightly better then a resonated one. Only paid £140 for mine, 8 months old. Bargain

my old anni had a decat, then straight through to a piper backbox. i didnt even think that was particularly loud

had a weird thing where if you held the revs at a constant level then there was only a small amount of noise, only opened up when going up and down the rev range. was very odd but handy for the motorway etc. was pretty loud when you where in the very top of the rev range but obviously theres a time and a place for that so it was ok
