Intermittent boost problem ?
« on: 17 April 2014, 21:46 »
Hi got a 1.8 T AUM , had it 6 months but never been happy with it.got fmic , 007 Dv, all hard piped with silicon hoses. Was told 220 bhp but no proof. Sometime the car feels very flat like no boost other days it goes well and you can feel the turbo pull. I've never been in another one so can't compare but I can only just keep with a Saxo VTRs  I had a play in a TT 225 the other day and it made my golf feel like a 1lt I know mines not going to pull like the TT but should be somewhere near. Got no vac leaks, no fault codes , DV is working, I did try with MAF disconnected it when a little better but not much, anyone had this before ? I've always had vw but this car is making me go off them and I don't want that to happen
Cheers simon

N75 not controlling boost properly?

Either that or the turbo actuator/turbo itself might be giving up?
