Windscreen replacement
« on: 16 April 2014, 06:41 »
I am going to replace my windscreen for my mk3 golf and am wondering if anyone knows of a good glass company in the Windsor area. Bearing in mind that the car is a 1996 model price would be important. This is not a rush or emergency job. Any help appreciated

Is it not covered on your insurance?

swiftcover will freeze my no claims bonus and i have a £75 deductible for windscreen replacement. sneaky of swiftcover so would rather just pay it direct as my find someone to do it for not much more.:)plus swiftcover count it as a claim and it goes on your record....yipeee:(

I got mine done a few days ago for 135 too , it wasn't OEM though, and im also with swiftcover and had the same problem with if I claimed it would freeze this years NC plus 75 excess (Autoglass), workmanship/professionalism wasn't great but guess that's expected from an independent place I guess, got recommended from a mate to do it through this person/company so felt trusted. BTW first post
