After testing a DTUK box (with great results!) on a loan car back along supplied to a friend for testing by his company (thus fully insured to run electronic devices as they monitor driving on their rental and lease cars in some situations) the car went back and has since been replaced by a long term vehicle on their fleet which will be used by both staff and customers by the looks of it.
When I fitted the loom to the initial car it was dropped off to me on a very cold wet day and I did the fitment as quickly as I could and still have the scars on my hands to prove it from the lowermost connector!
My question for those running tuning boxes, whether petrol or Diesel is where they connect the power leads for long term use?
I just bolted the C clips to the battery terminal in the temporary fitment and that was fine but it meant the the tuning box stayed 'live' all the time apart from when it was unplugged when my friend wasn't using the car and other members of staff were.
Does anyone have a better place to attach the power cables so that it only comes on with the ignition?
