Anyone tried Bilstein B4 dampers before ?

Hi guys , just posted in the new owner section about my new GTI MK5 in Diamond black , but it needs a little work as has two broken springs and the shocks are past there best so have got some Eibach springs to go on and am now looking at dampers and thinking Bilstein B4 , I have used Bilstein many times before but always the PSS or PSS9 Coilovers so keen to see if anyone has any experience of the B4 ?

Well sort of but gas rather than oil. Set to OEM standards though although I am looking for the sport dampers to go in combo with my Eibach springs. I think I will just order them as have good experience of Bilstein before. Cheers

Maybe go with the B6's if your putting in eibachs fella

Thanks for the offer but just bought some B4 Sport dampers from DPM..

Well had the Bilstein B4 sports dampers fitted alongside the -25mm Eibachs and what a transformation , feels so composed on the road and in reality only marginally stiffer than standard , looks much better with the drop too and maybe just needs some mild spacing on the rear to enhance the looks but don't think I will worry about that for now.

But anyhow if any of you guys are replacing your stock suspension but don't want the stiffness of fixed coilovers or you don't want the expense of adjustable quality coilovers then consider this upgrade as it only cost less than £450 for all the parts and suits the car very well indeed. I will post up some pics soon when the car is clean !
