So just joined and seems a great forum and I'm sure it will impart some good advice for me with my new runaround. A little background on me , I've been on the VAG scene now for over 20 years and have owned over 25 VAG cars , from the MK1 GTI all the way through to RS4 B7 and a TTRS.
I specialize in the sale of performance VAG cars and am based near Norwich. My company is called Norfolk performance car sales.
Anyway I am now the proud owner of a Diamond black 3 door MK5 GTI with 18 inch Monza wheels as my daily after in came in part exchange and I thought it would make a cracking car for me to use after the sale of my TTRS ( To fund a house extension ).
A few things need doing , the wheels need refurbing ( No surprise there hey ) it has two broken springs and needs two tyres and I think the shocks are past there best too but even with that little lot it still drives really well..
So I have bought some Eibach springs , some new Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric 2 tyres which is a tyre I love , next step is to do some homework on the shocks , thinking OE but may go for Bilstein or maybe Koni FSD , any advice on that would be great. And lastly will probably just have a stage 1 REVO map. I have spent a small fortune on modding cars over the years and determined not to spend a fortune on the GTI as it just doesn't need it.
I also have a MK7 GT TDI 150 as my family car and also a race prepped VR6. I look forward to making a contribution.
Cheers Neil
