« on: 07 April 2014, 17:10 »
hey guys , managed to get a replacement bootlid in my colour but the wires coming out the 2 top holes have been cut, i guess i just feed my old ones through? also how do you get the handle off? and finally the gti spoiler has been removed leaving a hard gluey mess how can i remove this and will it be easy to swap mine over from old one?

cheers

You can just feed your existing wiring though.

The barrel needs to come out of the handle before it can be removed, there's a b!tch of a clip stopping it from being removed. After that is out there are 3(?) little torx screws.

As for removing the glue, it depends how much there is...I'd guess you'll probably not be able to get it off without damaging the paint :undecided:
