I’ll try explain this best I can don’t shoot me down but I defo need an answer to this if someone knows.
I’ve had a kind of overheating issue with my vr6 recently, and it turned out the thermo went faulty, after testing it a few times it only opens every now and again or when it decided it wants to.
new thermo put back in (also tested before it went in) so coolant took a while to bleed and now have less pressure on the top hose.
my question is,
off the top radiator hose there is small pipe that leads to the coolant bottle which then goes to a t pipe then to the throttle body now this pipe is stone cold from the radiator pipe to the coolant bottle however after it reaches the t junction on the coolant bottle its nice and hot from there up to the throttle body, so why is it cold? should it be?
since I’ve had the car its always been the above not just after a coolant change and new thermo always been cold
so if its meant to be warm all the way up then I presume I have an issue, does it get blocked inside the loop in the throttle body or lower down on the top rad hose?
im not driving the car till I know its right
