SD card size for Discover Nav?
« on: 06 April 2014, 16:42 »
Folks, can anyone confirm you can use a 32GB SD card in the Discover Nav?
It's for storing music only.

I would imagine it's the same for nav and non-nav.  My non-nav unit happily uses this card;

I've got a 16GB in mine, but the manual specifies SDHC cards, which can be had up to 64GB. That's a lot of music!  :shocked:

You can also use SDXC cards which will go up to 2TB, provided they are formatted correctly - bit of guidance at http://www.haydnwilliams.com/blog/vw-golf-mk7-sd-cards-and-album-art.

Thanks for the replies lads.
It's just for holding music, so I expect the owner will be happy with 32GB.
I use 32GB SDHC in my RNS510s in my Mk5 & 6 Golfs...just wasn't sure about the needs of the newer units.

Thanks again,

Glen.
