A couple of leaks

Hi all, I have a week off work and am looking at clearing up a couple of leaks I have wanted to sort out for a while.
First one is the clutch release bearing cover/cap that has a weep on it and this does look like a simple job.
Part is only a few pounds, but I have a couple of questions on it.
1.    Will I lose any fluid when I take the cap off?  If so, where do I refill & what is the tool needed and what fluid do I refill with?
2.   Is there a seal/gasket to go on the cap?
Second one is the oil sump gasket.
1.   What tool/head is it to remove the bolts?
2.   It appears all the replacements are rubber, but I thought the original was cork/paper.  Is the rubber one going to fit ok with the original bolts?  If not what do I need to replace it with?  (I think Rubjonny had some advice on it years ago including what bolts to use )
Any other advice as this looks the trickier job?

Oh, and any advice on clearing up oil from bricks?

Pressure washer and some industrial citrus cleaner like ambersil ab1 works on oily drive ways

what clutch bearing cap do you mean? are you talking about the green metal disc on end of gearbox? oh and rubber sump gasket will fit straight on with same bolts.

Yeah, the green metal cap.  Was not sure whether there was a rubber O ring on it or not and whether I would lose any fluid......

Good news about rubber sump gasket.  It was just I had heard some replace the bolts with a rubber gasket...

nah there is no o ring in it. its just a very tight fit in the end of gearbox. are you sure its leaking from there though? it could be coming out the end of speedo cable? yeah sump gasket will be straight swap. its the cam cover that you need to change the studs in if your converting to rubber gasket.

Well the guys who did the new clutch were sure it was from there.  To be fair it looks quite mangled and it feels weepy around it.  So, question is when i pop the old one off is fluid going to come out?

if you jack the passenger side of car right up then the gear oil should all go to drivers side of gearbox and therefore not leak out when your changing the end cap. I would check the casing where the end cap sits for any cracks first.

Ok thanks Gaz.  Rang my mechanic and he is saying it is deffo the cover.

Been to GSF today and ended up with two gaskets for the sump as one was rubber and one is like a cork.  The rubber one is a bit thicker....I presume from what you are saying it will still fit?  Is the rubber gasket a "better" seal?

Was going to replace the bolts with allen ones(?).  Which ones do I need?

Got the above, but think I should have got some different ones like these.

Reason being is that the ones I have "flare" out ever so slightly on the screw side before meeting the underside of the screw end whereas the others the M6 thickness is constant.  If that makes sense.

Are you saying they are not threaded all the way up? or that you have bought countersunk heads?
Careful you don't buy them too long and bottom out in blind holes
