Mk7 GTD Wobbling Head Lights
« on: 06 April 2014, 01:53 »
Hi. I've not long had my new Mk7 GTD. Car is great, however i've noticed that the adaptive lights wobble when driving along the road! Any bump or slightly rough road seems to effect them. I was wondering if anyone on here with a GTD or GTI have the same issue. I've not had adaptive lights before and was wondering if there's a problem with them or if it's a characteristic of that type of light?

Do they seem to shake or wobble when the lights calibrate when you first turn on the car? If not, then it should be perfectly fine. Most of the roads I live around have noticeably unequal/rigid gravel and a fair amount of bumps; lights always appear to wobble and mostly on low to medium speeds. I think it is just the way the Xenons are placed with a little bit of room around their mounts to avoid the motor that moves the lights to break down or weaken on hard contact.(This is just my honest perception and not a fact) Also noticed the same thing happen with other vehicles I've driven with Xenons and Adaptive Turning.
