Still 'processing order' after three weeks!

Hi All

Ordered my GTD on 15th March and the tracker is still reporting 'processing order'.  Is this normal?!?

If last year when I ordered my GTI is anything to go by, then yes it is.  I know I was on the first order list for a new car and orders are quicker now. But three weeks from my personal experience is still early days.  However some others with lower spec (configuration) may have had a different experience to me.

Hi mate, I ordered my GTD on the 14th February and its still with the factory. So 7 weeks and no word yet.

You get word roughly 4 weeks before its due to be built (confirmed build date) and then anything from 2 to 4 weeks after that for you to pick the car up.

With dealers giving an estimate of anything up to 20 weeks from order to delivery, I suppose that's well within it.

Did you order via a dealer or broker?

I ordered mine on 5th feb and it changed to bw confirmed only two days ago. Think you may have a bit of a wait yet

I ordered about a week before you - A Mk 7 GTD 3 door and my build week was confirmed 2 weeks ago - mine should be getting build sometime this week 

How much longer until I get my dirty mitts on it? We were originally told 17 weeks - which made it early June which we thought we could live with but I can't wait now!

I ordered via a dealer.  Just dropped them an email, I don't hold out much hope but can't do any harm to 'remind' them of my order I suppose.

They should be able to give you a provisional build week but obviously this could move.
Or contact VW with your build number and they can give you a provisional one.

My dealer gave me week 22 but after a few weeks I tweeted VW and they gave me week 18.
But given we are just about to go into week 15 I reckon its slipped back from week 18.
