never declared any mods on any of my cars, ive never had an issue. always seems to double the premium so i never bother

on that article as well, if i read it right, the police didnt charge anyone with anything to do with their mods. simply told the insurance companies ? if thats all that happens then ill gladly not declare my mods

Don't declare you mods and see how much your insurance pays out when they find out, a friend of mines bike was written off in a no fault accident, when the other drivers insurer come out to assess the damage to the bike they seen an aftermark exhaust, as this wasn't declared on his insurance the other company claimed he was not riding in accordance with his policy so was not insured. As he was now not insured the other company would not pay a penny for his bike

Just shows it might not be your fault but you still might be paying the full bill for your repairs

with the above post, i find that a bit confusing. if hes claiming off the other person insurance, his insurance has nothing to do with it, they wouldnt even get involved if the other party admitted full liability

If you crash into someone who is not insured is your insurance company going to pay for an illegal driver to have their car fixed or are they going todo as all insurance companies do and try and find away to reduce how much they have to pay out?

yeah i know im not arguing with what you said, they will get out of paying in anyway they can. just going off experiences i know of on forums etc in a lot of cases the non fault persons insurance has not come into it at all
