Appears to be a lottery as far as getting a ship is concerned some roll straight on like you and others can sit for a few weeks. Frustrating!

How do you find out if the car's on a ship or not? Is it just a case of asking the dealer?

The tracker should show "average of 10 days to reach dealer" if it's on a ship. Mine still shows three weeks to go.

If the tracker is broken for you then yes your dealer will be able to tell you.

Tracker still says this model takes an average of 3 weeks to reach the dealer but my dealer told me roughly ten days last week and I've had 2 5a texts from the tracker so no idea when to expect it.
