Cat

Planning to either go ko4 or k03 hybrid soon so will be getting a replacement turboback exhaust 3" with a decat...

If I can't find a friendly MOT tester how would I go about swapping the cat over for the MOT...

Could I replace just the decat section with my old cat or is it all one unit and would no longer fit if its a ko4?

Or woukd it mean getting an exhaust with a decat that can be swapped out?

Why not get a 200 cell sports cat welded in? Problem solved and best of both worlds.

Would that not be restrictive, reduce sound and possibly still fail anyway?

200 won't fail, or at least it shouldn't. Obviously it has some restrictions compared to a decat but it is more free flowing than the standard cat.

I have a 200 cell sports cat and mine failed at MOT, if you live near/take your car to a friendly garage I would go decat
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)
