If you read the chain tensioner thread you will find that the audi had the first revised tensioner from the start that was not fitted to vw, skoda, seat until mid 2010.
There are failures of audi and seats out there. You will be amazed until its brought to mass attension how people stay quiet about it espeically fans of the brands in the UK. Afterall who wants the secondhamd values of there pride and joy to tumble.

It effects the chain driven engines of the EA888 family in 1.8 and 2.0 capacity.
Read the thread. It states the dates the tensioner was revised.
Theres also timing chain slip related issues with the 1.4 TSI engines but this mainly effects the higher output versions like the twincharger version.
