This guy on ebay is claiming that he can activate VIM on the Nav Pro. I thought this wasn't possible?

Is it done with a wiring harness to trick the unit to thinking it's not moving?

Good point, maybe he makes some dodgy mods that replicate the harness!

You do know that if the Plod catches you with VIM you will get a massive fine and possibly have your car impounded

For passengers maybe and no one will ever have had a car impounded for playing videos while moving. Same could be said about the sat nav map.

It is illegal if VIM is visible to the driver while in motion - no argument.

Not only illegal, but totally reckless - if used on public roads. Even if the reason is for some other use I'm missing, is it really worth risking a 25+ grand insurance loss if discovered?
