auq swap to aum

My auq engine blew so I bought the aum engine. Does anyone no if my 6 speed box off the auq is a direct bolt on to the aum engine

why did it blow ? what miles was on it .just wondering cause mine is an auq . cant help you with your question though.

147000 miles. Something got in to the engine and destroyed 3 pistons and destroyed the head but it still started and drove

mines done  125000 , you just got me thinking thats all . hope you get yours sorted soon m8

should be, but you will need drive shafts and other parts off the old car too.

also iirc (could be wrong) all the gear ratios are the same apart from either 5th or 6th, cant remember whether 5 & 5 are the same or 5&6 are the same. (Could be entirely wrong though).

The gearbox is going back into the same car that it came out of but it will be on an aum engine. I thought the driveshafts and gear linkage and everything else should be ok.
