Painting alternator
« on: 31 March 2014, 11:11 »
Just looking to tidy up the engine bay on my 1.8t and thought it would help if I had the alternator painted. Has anyone done this and was the casing disassembled? Details of how you did it and pictures of work in progress or the finished product would be appreciated.

Did it come out smooth? The casing looks quite porous and did you use a brush?

All the other parts black and silver were painted with smooth hammerite and a brush :)

Thanks for that it does look quite smooth, I'm quite tempted to have a crack at it with it on in situ
