first 1.8t
« on: 30 March 2014, 17:56 »
ive just bought my first 1.8t as an upgrade from my current 2.0, but its very under powered  (its slower than my 2.0) so got it scanned and it came up with this code:

1 Fault Found:
01262 - Solenoid Valve for Boost Pressure Control (N75)
            26-00 - Output Open

could someone point me in the right direction for the correct part i need ie: part no. or link as im not quite sure, the car is a 99 AGU thanks inadvance

If the wires are snapped off in the plug you'll need to fit a new plug ideally or try and get the pins out and you can get repair wires from vw,if not you can always make up a connector and follow the wires back to the loom and add a pair of wires etc, once re-fitted your n75 WILL NOW FUNCTION CORRECTLY unless its faulty also if you have access to vag-com you need to clear the existing fault code also take it for a drive and re-scan hopefully alls good.

Thats the correct part and looks like you'll need to replace the two wires and trace where they have been snapped off into the loom and go from there.
