Another great vw design flaw
« on: 28 March 2014, 10:16 »
After 6 months my car has now decided it no longer likes training the tailgate probably it now prefers to run into the boot along the inner plastic boot trim and drip all over the parcel shelf wtf?

do you mean you've got a leak?  Where exactly is the water coming in?

No leak, its screen wash instead of running thru the channel under the windscreen and down the inner right side of the tailgate as normal its just decided to run in the channel and into the boot

I'm not sure that I understand what you mean.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Ok on my car or at least i've noticed when its rained and you open the boot the rain runs from underneath. the the rear windscreen bottom channel down the inside metal frame of the tailgate and onto the the recess under the spoiler then it runs down the inner pillars onto the florr, but now its taking the path of least resistance and just coming arond the edge into the boot :-(

Still not clear.   So when you squirt the screen wash to clean the rear screen this is how it's draining away?

I get you now.  Weird.  Have you had a good look around the tailgate, noticed anything different, any dents, surface debris etc, that might cause the water to channel away differently?
