Hi all, Carbon Grey GTD on order - Glasgow!

Hey everyone,

Been browsing this forum as guest since the day I ordered my Golf so thought I'd finally sign up and say hi!

I currently have a 2.0 Astra GTC which I must say is a great car but I've had it for 2 years now and after some ongoing clutch and DPF issues, I've fallen out of love with it. I also chose to remove my DTUK box just to be on the safe side so the car now feels very sluggish.

Good new is... I've ordered a Carbon Grey GTD, 5 door, manual with a few toys and can't wait to get it but it's still a few months away!

Seen a few Mk7 GTI's and GTD's around the Glasgow area so make yourself known if you're reading this!

Looks like I'm just along the road from you 

I ordered my white GTD in February but have been torn between Carbon and white since just after Christmas which held me up ordering it   
I'm just hoping I get a confirmed build week soon o i can't change the spec

Hi mate!

Mine's on business contract hire so unfortunately no discount but it was cheaper this way over PCP! I ordered it from VW Wishaw as VW Rutherglen don't deal with business leasing. They sent me a 3 door DSG demo for two days and the girl I've been dealing with has been fantastic so thumbs up for VW Wishaw so far!

She reckons my build week will be roughly 18 but it's not showing on the tracker yet either - also ordered mine in Feb!

Stick with white then I'll know it's you when I see a white one cruising around EK! haha.

I was provisionally given week 22 but VW have told me week 18 as well.
If so we should see it change on the tracker this weekend I reckon.

There are quite a few of us round the Glasgow area and I work out your neck of the woods - well Hamilton which is quite close.
