Does the R take mudflaps?

Poss daft question due to side skirts and different rear bumper but does anyone know if the R will take VW mudflaps?

I've got them on my ED35 currently. The rears were straight fit and I customised fit the front ones to cater for the skirts.

I'd like to do the same on the R if possible, hate kick spray so just trying to limit it

I read that as “can the 4WD system handle driving over mudflats?”. You’d have to see if there are any profile differences between the rear diffuser on a GTI and an R. Fronts for a GTI are likely to fit, but rears will be dependent on diffuser differences between GTI and R (if any).

Why would you want mudflaps on an R?

Just hate crap kicked up along sides and rear so prefer to control it a bit.

Or hate cars in front without mudflaps kicking up spray on the just cleaned motor.
