Probably wear and tear. Maybe a weak clutch before the map?

Look at the G60 fly and VR clutch swap. I run it on my MK3 AUQ conversion and the bite is perfect with no slip at all.

I do a solid flywheel and clutch conversion kit for £310 for 240mm clutches. (brand is national clutch and these have a 2 year no quibble warranty)

Single mass set up won't work on an AUQ because of the 6 speed box.

I may be wrong then, the G60/VR6 setup definitely doesn't fit, a quick google search shows other kits

Ur right it doesn't , but you can get a solid flywheel but its silly money , I am running oem flywheel /clutch it both were replaced but mods , and I am running 265bhp with no problems ,

My kit at £310 isn't too expensive.  It doesn't come with a new slave cylinder which is £50. But is still lots cheaper than a new dmf and clutch and is a specific auq kit
