There was someone on here who got a misbuild from VW, they supplied the car with the wrong Sat Nav unit.
You would think it would be a simple case of changing the head unit to the proper one and have VW doing their bit to removing component protection however the OP stated it couldn't be done and a new car has been ordered instead.

Now if the dealer / VW can't do it between them I don't hold out much hope for others.

as you know, my dealer was able to remove the component protection.
but after removing the CP, the nav map locked.

So here is my own Workaround to use the Navigation

Has anyone just upgraded the screen if they already have a DNS to the pro screen.
Diagonally parked in a parallel universe.
On Order: Mk8 R, Pure White, Reversing Camera, Harmon Kardon, Heated seats all round.

Gone: Mk6 GTD, 5dr, Manual, Tornado Red, 18" Vancouvers, RCD510 + Dynaudio, heated seats.
