Temp sensor

Got my code reader from fleabay only code is 16500 temp sender.After 10 mins careful studying how to get dam plug off I can see its the original. rang a couple of shops copy is a tenner better quality is twenty both have 12 months warranty anybody wish to enlighten me on what the difference is for my engine.cheers

I'd go genuine all the way with temp sensors, I had a cheap one which failed within a few months.

Earlier models had a blue plug/sensor 4 pin iirc later have the green plug/sensor two pin and as dom says best to get an oem one i found mine on ebay and its from poland but was from an oem parts place and took 4 days to arrive and it was only about a tenner all in :afro: also had that code on mine and changed the sensor due to this but also needed a thermostat change to re=scanned mine after fitting both and no code
