Instant exhaust regret
« on: 07 March 2014, 16:13 »
Decided to remove my exhaust today as it was blowing badly all over and weld up some of the unnecessary joins. Got carried away and ended up creating this monstrosity:

The thing is so f**king loud it hurts my ears to drive it  have a janspeed backbox on the way too which will be ruined
Also the sh!t welding in the middle is where my mate wanted to learn how

I'm full of shame to allow that welding onto my car. My grinder was inop so couldn't redo his practice.

A mate replaced the middle box on his Sportrak with a straight through pipe for the MOT as the box had a fist-size hole in it.

It sounds SO bad now.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

I have had to continue to commute 100 miles a day and people keep giving me looks, I can feel the disappointment in their gaze. I want a massive sign above my car saying "sorry, the exhaust was an accident".

Put a the janspeed back box on and it has got much worse. Had to drive 110 miles to my dads with it (ear defenders in the car) and should be picking up the new silencers today. Gave them a call earlier and the delivery lorry broke down and had to return to Birmingham. Dreading a return trip with the current setup if I can't get it sorted in time.
