secondary air pump

Golf mk4 1.8t AUM
Im going to fit my s2000 cone filter soon But i need to fit a small breather filter to put onto the secondary air pipe end
Ive been to my local stores and all i can find is universal breathers, anyone got some suggestions how to fit one on sure there is someone else that has fitted it :smug:

another thing when i temp fitted the cone filter, I got alot more turbo sound and more "dump" noise but it seemed to be quite random, sometimes its very noticeable others it doesnt sound at all.. could this be down to a boost leak or something?

Firstly get rid of that SAI, not needed, less pipes

Secondly the sound you're hearing is probably right but can also mean holey than thou pipes so would probably do with a refresh tbh

suppose i could just remove the SAI then at least i would not need a breather for the pipe, but on the other hand it doesnt do any harm it being there ?

Suppose not but it is a pain with the extra loud noise on start up

If you have a decat then the SAI is not needed.
if you have a standard cat or even a sports cat the SAI is designed to pre warm the cat to prevent damage.

I have a 200 cell sports cat and I removed my SAI just after it was fitted
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

Still havent figured out a way to fit something to this sai pipe, Ive just bodged a universal breather in it having wraped loads of ducktape around the breather neck to squeeze into the pipe so its not moving, But would prefer a better solution
