Erm...not quite sure where you're goin' with this....Maybe you should put this in a letter to the supplying dealer?

Hello
What's the point in writing to the dealer when all they do is try to get out of most of my issues classic case not covered under warranty which I have had this today biggest concern with my car is dirt under the n/s/f wing they could not guarantee a paint match but would only pay for the front wing to be resprayed and I would have to pay to blend into the next panel when spending a lot of money would you want your car respraying I thought they did a quality check at the factory you have only got to look at other peoples cars on this forum about paintwork issues

If you let the dealer try and get away with things then they will. If you are receiving a service that you are not happy with then you don't have to accept said service. You don't mention whether you are in the UK, but if you are, as a consumer you are covered by the sale of goods act.

Reach out to vw customer services on media such as Facebook and or Twitter. Once you've secured their support you can use it as leverage to twist your dealer's arm. The public forum is surprisingly effective, as has been discussed here previously.

The dealers are happy to screw the VW warranty pot for as much as they can get. They usually exercise caution when they are unsure whether VW will pay out for the work done. If VW standard practice is only to paint the wing and do a bit of blending in, then that's all they'll reimburse the dealer for. The dealer won't do anything they'll not be getting paid for.

It's not necessarily right. First and foremost, VW QC is not always as thorough as we would expect for the amount we are spending on our cars.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

Also remember that you have up to 6 months to reject the vehicle and request a refund or to replace the car. I would recommend allowing them to carry out what they recommend and if it is not absolutely spot on, then reject it. That is what i did, back in September when my first GTI had paint issues. I rejected the car AFTER they attempted to rectify the issue, they made it worse so i rejected it. I got to keep the GTI until my replacement arrived and i took delivery 1st March.

Also have a reas of Jimble's posts concerning his GTI from a few months back. He rejected the car following a paintwork rectification saga and now has a lovely new R (and hopefully he is very happy with that!).
