folks,
I think the majority here all agree that french cars are, pretty much, a collection of old toss. Far from being innovative, the French take a good idea (The GTi for example) and make it less reliable, more fragile and generally pretty cack. Not wishing to generalise, but the french are a bunch of cheese eating surrender-monkeys, who have not produced one car I would actually like to own (Citroen XM anyone? Mmmmmmmm).
However....we cannot begin to consider banning french cars, because we would then, as a nation,be without the boy-racers holy grail - the citroen Saxo.
And that would leave us without a whole generation of car owners to abuse, race and genrally humiliate. As much as I dislike them, I would not see the world without them - think about it, if it wasn't for the Saxo, the 18 year olds that lust after them might buy (and start 'modifying') Golf GTi's. Imagine that - not only would you have to acknowledge them as fellow owners, but they may even end up here - perish the thought.
I say let them keep their french cars. After all, someone needs to drive round in inferior cars, let it be them.
