DAB Problems?
« on: 27 February 2014, 09:55 »
Perhaps you guys can help answer a question for me.  For about a week now my DAB reception has been terrible.  I thought it was just a temporary blip maybe affecting just Kent and Sussex but in London at the weekend I had the same issue and still today, nothing working.

Even when I put a station on that has an FM fallback the FM signal has interference.

Should I be going back to the dealer or has anyone else got this problem at the moment?

No issues in the North West. Everything seems fine.

I live in the Midlands, and I usually have great DAB reception. Does it affect all DAB stations - how are BBC stations?

DAB aerial connection may have worked loose either behind the head unit or glove box or from the roof mounted aerial/rear screen.

Cheers, I'll check out the glovebox one - had that out to install power for my dashcam (ages ago though) but might be interfering...

Haven't had the glovebox out but still not convinced it's a loose connection as it comes and goes.  Like along Brighton seafront its dead and then on some streets it comes back for little bursts.

Very strange.  Might ring VW anyway to see if anyone else has reported it locally.

Have you tried rescanning/refreshing your DAB stations list? Long shot....

Yeah several times in different locations across the south east. The problem is that it works some times...
