I thought I would see who else is expecting delivery in the next 2 days and therefore the torture of looking at their car until Saturday.  My PW GTD is due at some point today.

Oh well I suppose it gives me time to read the manual and set up an sd card with music.

Just confirmed with the dealer - my GTi is arriving tomorrow morning on a flatbed trailer!

4 PM Saturday pick up organised - SD card loaded & good to go :-)

10am pick up, the 6month wait is nearly over,& the forecast has changed to sunny.

I'm waiting an extra day in an attempt to ensure it gets that little bit extra attention. Sunday 1st thing, will also give me a good few hours of quiet roads to raid down on my way home

Mine was delivered yesterday at about 10.30. I now think I've exhausted the list of things I can do before actually driving it.
